Live-cd and dvd

Download the live-cd. It is available in both a 'lite' version (basic set of applications), or a full version that comes on a dvd. You can find the download mirrors here:

You have the choice of using the 'kde' desktop environment, or the 'xfce' desktop environment. Both versions also come with the 'fluxbox' window manager, as an alternative choice. You will find the iso's available in the sidux download mirrors. All versions are available in 386/686 and 64 bit.

Installation

Now that you have fallen in love with sidux, feel free to install it to your hard drive using the sidux installer found on the 'live cd' Look here for more info: http://manual.sidux.com/en/hd-install-en.htm∞

Basics

After you installed sidux on your hard drive, you may want to dive into some of the basics of Linux. ((http://sidux.com/index.php?module=Wikula&tag=documentation∞ here) You will find some helpful links on Linux documentation which will help smooth your transition to Linux.
